Welcome to `Photography Matters`, which is based in Wombwell, South Yorkshire, just 3 miles from junction 36 of the M1 and just a few yards from Wombwell railway station.

We specialise in studio & location photography for individuals and families. Portraits for adults, couples and children, dancers, athletes, gymnasts, musicians, cats and dogs are very much at the heart of our activity. Portfolios for models is another popular area amongst our clients.

Our aim is to provide a high quality professional service in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Karen holds the `Diploma in Professional Photography` at the higher level, awarded by the `Institute of Photography`. Besides her experience as a photographer, she previously enjoyed a career as a Nursery Nurse. This professional background working with children combines with her experience as the mother of four children aged between 3 and 15 years to give her a natural flair at working with youngsters and families on photo shoots. Her husband is a professional musician and her children are involved in ballet, athletics and gymnastics - hence her particular photographic interests in these fields alongside her central work as a portrait photographer. Buster the family dog completes the domestic picture and he has been the inspiration for the photographic interest in pets.
